emOTive therapy
I offer online therapy across the UK and Europe, delivered in a way that feels manageable and supportive.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step.
It’s completely normal to feel unsure, nervous, or not quite know what to say. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
Your First Session: What to Expect
Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive:
A confirmation email which will contain:
A link to join your session via Google Meet
Links to complete any necessary paperwork
Please complete all paperwork at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, as this helps ensure we can make the most of our time together.
All you need is:
A private, confidential space
A stable internet connection
A device for video (phone, tablet, laptop or computer)
Before Your Session
During Your First Session
The first session is about getting a sense of you, exploring your past, what’s going on currently, and what might be helpful for you.
We may explore:
What has brought you to therapy
What’s been feeling difficult recently
Any patterns or experiences that feel important
What you might hope to get from therapy
There is no pressure to share everything straight away.
We will go at a pace that feels manageable.
How It Might Feel
People often worry about “getting it right” in therapy.
There is no right or wrong way to show up.
You might:
Feel unsure where to start
Jump between different topics
Notice emotions coming up
Or feel quite matter-of-fact
All of this is okay.
My role is to:
Create a space that feels safe and non-judgmental
Help you make sense of what’s going on
Support you in identifying what may help
Work with you to build practical and meaningful ways forward
This is a collaborative process, we work together.
My Role
Ongoing Sessions
If we continue working together, sessions will begin to:
Build a clearer understanding of patterns and experiences
Explore what’s maintaining difficulties
Develop practical strategies and ways forward
The work will be shaped around your needs and goals.
Therapy is not about rushing or fixing things quickly.
We work at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable for you.
