Access to Work Support

If you’ve been granted Access to Work funding and are looking for support to better understand how you work, manage burnout, and build sustainable ways of functioning in your role, I offer specialist, neuro-affirming support grounded in occupational therapy.

As an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist and member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, my work is guided by clear professional standards, ethics and accountability.

This means the support you receive is:

  • Evidence-informed

  • Clinically grounded

  • Focused on both wellbeing and real-world function

Occupational therapy offers a unique perspective, bringing together reflective, psychotherapeutic exploration with practical, work-focused strategies to support meaningful and sustainable participation in your role.

A Regulated, Professional Approach

This support is designed to help you understand how your brain, body and environment interact at work—and what may help things feel more manageable.

Together, we may explore:

  • How your neurodivergent traits (e.g. ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivity, executive function differences) show up in your workday

  • Practical ways to manage focus, time, energy and sensory load

  • Workplace adjustments that genuinely support you (e.g. communication, environment, routines)

  • Burnout—understanding, recovery and prevention

  • Processing a diagnosis or self-identification and how this impacts your work identity

  • Building confidence to communicate your needs to employers or Access to Work assessors

Sessions are collaborative, flexible, and paced in a way that works alongside your role and responsibilities.

This work supports the core aims of Access to Work, including:

  • Increasing confidence and self-understanding in the workplace

  • Developing practical, job-focused strategies

  • Reducing barriers to performance and wellbeing

  • Supporting long-term, sustainable participation in work

Each session is structured with clear focus and outcomes, while still allowing space for reflection and adjustment as your needs evolve.

My Approach

I work from a neuro-affirming, strengths-based perspective. This means your neurodivergence is not something to “fix”, but something to understand and work with.

My approach draws on:

  • Occupational therapy (roles, routines, environments and sensory needs)

  • Evidence-based psychological approaches such as ACT and DBT-informed skills

  • Practical strategy development tailored to your work context

The focus is on building ways of working that are realistic, sustainable, and aligned with how you function best.

Access to Work-funded sessions are charged at a slightly different rate. This reflects the additional work involved outside of sessions, such as supporting communication with employers or Access to Work and ensuring the sessions are used as effectively as possible.

My aim is to keep this process transparent, while recognising the specialist nature of this work.
