As a HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, I hold a protected title, which means I have completed rigorous education and training and am required to maintain high professional standards throughout my practice. My registration with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) ensures that my work is guided by clear codes of ethics, reflective practice, and professional accountability.
This offers reassurance that the support I provide is held within a recognised, regulated framework, shaped by evidence, compassion and integrity. My clinical background allows me to understand how work and wellbeing intertwine, and how our occupational roles can deeply influence our sense of self. Occupational therapy holds a unique space where reflective, psychotherapeutic exploration sits alongside the development of practical strategies and skills, supporting you to sustain meaningful engagement in your work and life over the long term.
While many coaches offer valuable and skilled support, it can sometimes be difficult to know what qualifications or professional standards an individual coach may hold, as ‘coach’ is not currently a protected title in the UK. In contrast, as an Occupational Therapist, my professional registration and standards are clear, offering additional reassurance around the quality, safety and accountability of the support I provide.
So, if you’re finding it difficult to navigate the landscape of professionals and want to feel confident that the person you choose is appropriately trained and ethically accountable, I hope this information offers a little reassurance. And even if we don’t work together, you may find it helpful to explore other Occupational Therapists whose approach and experience feel like the right fit for you.
If you’ve been granted Access to Work funding and are looking for support around managing burnout, understanding your neurodivergent profile, and developing sustainable ways to thrive at work, I can offer specialist sessions designed to meet those needs.
I provide neuro-affirming, occupational therapy utilising a coaching informed approach to help you understand how your brain and body interact with your work environment, and to build realistic, effective strategies for managing the demands of your role.
My background as both an Occupational Therapist and EMDR therapist means I can support you in exploring the practical and emotional aspects of work. The coaching approach is structured and goal-focused, while still offering space for reflection, validation and growth.
Sessions are collaborative and flexible, they can take place online, around your work schedule, and at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach aligns with these aims by combining a work-focused, structured process with an understanding of neurodivergence, work environments and systems. Each session has clear aims, and we’ll regularly review progress and outcomes.
For example, you might leave coaching with:
I work from a neuro-affirming, strengths-based perspective, meaning your neurodivergence isn’t treated as a problem to fix, but as an important part of who you are.
We explore what works for your brain, not against it.
My approach draws on:
The aim is for you to finish our work together feeling more confident, balanced and equipped with the tools to manage your work in a way that truly fits you.
We’ll begin with a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, current situation, and what you’d like to gain from our session.
From there, we’ll agree a focus and number of sessions that align with your Access to Work funding and your individual needs.
If you’d like to explore whether this support is right for you, please get in touch to arrange a chat.
Access to Work-funded sessions are charged at a slightly different rate. This reflects the additional work outside of sessions, such as liaising with your workplace or Access to Work, and supporting you to make the most of a limited number of funded sessions. My intention is always to keep the process transparent and fair, while recognising the specialist and professional nature of this work.
