Welcome fellow Occupational Therapists!  Are you looking for a supervisor to help guide and support you on your journey as an OT? Are you looking for a Yoda equivalent in the world of OT? Look no further... Ok... I might not be Yoda. But I am a passionate and experienced occupational therapist so not a bad second best.... maybe not but I do have a cute dog.

I believe in the value of supervision and the positive impact it can have on our development as clinicians and individuals.  

I understand the challenges and self-doubt that can arise in our profession and have personally experienced the benefits of having a trusted supervisor to turn to. With my expertise and empathetic approach, I am dedicated to helping you rediscover your clinical spark and achieve your professional goals.  

In addition to my OT degree, I am trained in DBT skills, ACT, EMDR, and Sensory Integration. I have spent much of my practice in mental health, developing sensory profiles and supporting modulation in the MH arena. I am also trained in ADOS assessments and work as an Associate supporting the assessment process for autism. I use my skills in sensory modulation to bring awareness to this arena within assessments.

Does anybody else find it difficult to write about themselves?

I thought it may help to write a little bit about my professional experience in case this is helpful to give you an idea if I would fit as a supervisor for you. If you are unsure, please use the contact form or social media to drop me a message and we can discuss it. 

Learning Disabilities:

I have extensive experience working with individuals with learning disabilities in both community and inpatient settings, often with a dual diagnosis of mental health.

Mental Health:

I have worked in community, outpatient, and inpatient mental health services, gaining experience in a wide range of therapeutic interventions.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS):

I have experience delivering interventions within CAMHS both inpatient and outpatient services, and have worked with children and young people presenting with a variety of mental health concerns.

Eating Disorders, Addictions, and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU):

I have supported teams who have delivered interventions within these services, as well as supervised OTs who have worked in these areas and delivered clinical interventions within this client population.

Management:

I have managed a number of OT teams as well as therapy departments within mental health hospitals and outpatient services. I have experience in auditing, investigations, team dynamics, and service development.

Senior Management Positions:

I have held several senior management positions, including Hospital Director, Therapy Business Manager, and Clinical Services Director. This has given me experience in service governance and registered bodies, such as the CQC, as well as the ability to juggle multiple demands and needs.
